Kitchen

The kitchen where the chefs prepare the dish. This process requires three objects:

A refrigerator where you can store food;

The stove is used for cooking;

The sink where you wash the dishes left over after serving food on them;

It is important to connect the electricity (needed for the refrigerator and stove) and the water needed to operate the sink. You should also make sure that the chefs have free access to raw food delivered by trucks a few hours before the scheduled time. You can achieve this by placing a vault next to the kitchen or by placing a guard right next to the prison door. In the second case, the only mission of the guards will be to open and close the gates for the chefs and other characters.

The kitchen does not have to be large to function properly. You just need to place two or three pieces of each item (refrigerator, stove and sink), and then hire at least two chefs. Oddly enough, this combination is enough even for a very large and crowded prison, because one cook can feed more than 20 prisoners. If you want to save money, you can even hire the prisoners themselves to work at the sinks. You just need to enter the bureaucracy menu, invent Prison Labor, and then Deployment. It should also be noted that prisoners work in the kitchen only during their shifts, and cooks cook for several hours between meals, during meals, and some time after.

The kitchen should be placed as close to the dining room as possible, as this will save chefs from time-consuming travel.

Please note! You don't need to invest in additional refrigerators, stoves, or sinks, unless you have created a very large prison consisting of several buildings. In this case, it's worth considering creating a second kitchen that will speed up the whole process.


Shower

This is a room that allows prisoners to take care of their personal hygiene, so it satisfies one of their basic needs. The only item required in this room is a shower head, which, of course, needs to be watered. Optionally, you can also install a drain, which will allow you to quickly get rid of dirty water from the floor. Keep in mind that water and soap suds disappear at the same rate regardless of the amount of wastewater, so investing money in additional ones does not make much sense.

The shower has to be much bigger - sooner or later, all prisoners have to use it, so there has to be a place for them. The frequency of showering depends on the regime - if you set a certain shower time, all prisoners will wash at the same time (which will only worsen the problem of overcrowding in this room). While taking a shower, it is recommended to set aside free time so that only the dirtiest prisoners go to the shower, and the rest wait for the best moment. This solution significantly reduces the risk of a fight and allows you to meet the needs of the prisoner during the day.
